The paper underscores the need for a flexible, responsive, and resilient grid, and explores the transformative impact of grid flexibility within the evolving energy landscape. It also highlights the critical role of digitalisation and grid smartening as key enablers to unlock the flexibility required to meet Europe’s decarbonisation targets. Through six key policy recommendations, it stresses the importance of cross-sector and cross-border collaboration to enhance grid performance and reliability.
During the webinar, T&D Europe experts will delve deeper into these topics and share further insights on our recommendations. As a special guest, we are also delighted to welcome Pablo Riesgo Abeledo, Policy Officer at DG ENER – Unit B4, who will join the discussion and present current and future challenges in the flexibility sector.
