T&D Europe is the voice of Europe’s grid technology providers. Our members enable the energy transition, driving Europe’s ambition for climate-neutrality by 2050.
Established in 2008, T&D Europe was created following the merger of two European sector committees, CAPIEL HV and COTREL. Membership now includes 10 National Trade Associations, with 7 within EU Member States and 4 outside the EU. These National Trade Associations represent more than 200 companies. In addition to this, there are 10 corporate members, ranging from medium-sized to large multinational companies.
With Over 200,000 people in the industry manufacturing, innovating, and supplying smart systems for the efficient transmission and distribution of electricity, these technologies and services future-proof the grid and make clean electricity accessible to all Europeans.
By 2050, more than 80% of electricity will come from renewable energy sources and integrating a higher share of renewables will require a reliable, flexible, and smart power system to continue to ensure a reliable energy supply.
