Europe powered by skills and workforce development

Europe powered by skills and workforce development

The European Year of Skills highlighted the critical need to develop a skilled workforce to meet Europe’s diverse priorities, such as reindustrialisation, digitalisation, energy transition, and supply chain resilience. However, challenges like a declining working-age population, low unemployment rates, and a lack of career fulfilment persist. To address these issues, integrating the labour agenda with the broader European agenda is essential.

This joint letter, developed with 17 co-signatories,  urges policymakers to prioritise skills and workforce development to ensure Europe meets its strategic goals and provides fulfilling careers for its citizens.
