  • GRID+

    GRID+ is a Coordination and Support Action created to implement and support the management, planning and networking process of the European Electricity Grids Initiative (EEGI). 

    The project took place in 2012-2014 for a period of 36 months, both in the EU and beyond its borders. The EEGI represents one of the European Industrial Initiatives under the Strategic Energy Technology Plan (SET-Plan). Five critical issues concerning the electricity system and involving all stakeholders were addressed in this project: costs, benefits, KPIs, knowledge sharing, and financing.   • E-Highway2050

    The e-Highway2050 project has developed a methodology to support the planning of the Pan-European Transmission Network, that will ensure a steadfast delivery of renewable electricity and pan-European market integration. 

    The project has brought about a modular development plan for possible electricity highways and present options for a comprehensive pan-European grid architecture, based on various future power system scenarios.   • PROMOTioN

    The PROMOTioN project, funded by the EU’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme, was launched in January 2016. The project’s objective is to analyse the positive effects of a joint offshore electricity infrastructure based on meshed HVDC (high-voltage direct current) grid technology.
